The Rotary Club of St. Andrew North has donated approximately JMD $3 million (USD $20,000) in critical paediatric equipment to Black River Hospital, strengthening neonatal care for families across St. Elizabeth and neighbouring communities.
The donation, made possible through the generous support of KR Method (USA), Apex Foundation (USA), and United Way of Jamaica, included an infant incubator, a phototherapy lamp, and infusion pumps to enhance the hospital's capacity to care for newborns and young children.
President Pierpont Wilson noted that the donation represents more than medical equipment—it is an investment in hope, improved health outcomes, and stronger healthcare services for Jamaica's youngest patients.
This initiative forms part of the Club's broader Hurricane Melissa Recovery Programme, through which the Rotary Club of St. Andrew North and its partners continue to invest in healthcare, education, and community resilience across Jamaica.
