As a part of Protecting the Environment as a new Area of Focus, seedlings of vegetables were planted in bottles mounted to the rear wall of the property on wooden strips.
These seedlings will provide fresh vegetables for feeding the teenage mothers and their babies at an economical value. The home is a part of the Mustard Seed Communities which provides a place of safety to care for teenagers and their babies who are wards of the state.
Food and nutrition is of primary importance in the development of the residents who are breast feeding new born babies and providing support for the early years of development.
Present were: Past President and Environment Chair Glaister Ricketts, Past President Andrew Jackson, Past President Glenroy Williams, Past President Lori Chuck, Rotarian Patrick Martin, Rotarian Ainsley Harris and Rotarian Marlon Johnson.
